Grana Padano from Emilia-Romagna, Moliterno al Tartufo, sheep cheese permeated by black truffles from Sardinia, Taleggio, smear-ripened cheese named after the caves of Val Taleggio, produced in Bergamo, and Provoleta al’Oreganato, a medallion of Provolone piccante (as in sharp) from Cremona rubbed with olive oil and sprinkled with oregano, meant to be broiled in the oven. Green olives hand-stuffed with Val d’Aosta Italian blue cheese and crackers round up the spread. A convenient board accompanies the set to display your cheeses. Serves four to six guests.
