Japanese noodle stir-fry first appeared in food stalls in Japan during the early 20th century. Yakisoba is prepared with ramen-style wheat noodles (Chuka soba) with bite-sized pork beef or chicken, and finely chopped vegetables like cabbage, onions, bean sprouts and carrots. Then flavored with yakisoba sauce.
